Restauratören is the trade magazine that is first and foremost for Swedish hotel and restaurant owners and managers.
Restauratören is the only weekly publication in the business. Every week (apart from during the Christmas and Summer vacation period) it takes up the latest business issues in the hotel and restaurant trade. News coverage includes issues such as profitability, the law, politics, working conditions, hygiene, the competition, training and tourism.
Restauratören includes in-depth reporting every week, international news, industry updates and announcements and pages containing both people and product news. The editorial and opinion pages give readers the opportunity to make themselves heard, reaching the industry, politicians and authorities.
Restauratören collates and presents industry statistics. For example, during the late summer the magazine publishes a list of the 100 companies with the highest turnover in the business.
Restauratören is published every Wednesday and arrives in the readers’ postboxes on Friday. That means that we are absolutely the fastest not only when it comes to news but also when it comes to current vacancy announcements and sales and purchase advertisements. Here you can find a new job as well as a restaurant to lease.
Restauratören is published by Restauratörens Förlags AB, a company owned by Sveriges Hotell- och Restaurangföretagare, SHR, (Sweden’s hotel and restaurant employers’ association). The magazine appeared for the first time in January 1916 and began as a weekly publication. Over the years the publishing frequency has varied but recently the publication started to build back to it’s weekly distribution frequency. In 2011 Restauratören is published 38 times. Restauratören has also been available on the Internet since 1998.
All members of SHR receive copies of the publication through their membership. Other hotels and restaurants can subscribe. A subscription within Sweden costs 990 kronor plus VAT (6 percent). SHR-members can sign-up for extra subscriptions for 495 kronor plus VAT. For subscribers abroad the extra cost of postage is added to the price.
Restauratören is a member in Sveriges Tidskrifter (Swedish periodicals), and it has one of Tidnings statistic, TS (statistics regarding publications) officially controlled circulations of 9 200 copies (2010). It is printed by Danagårds Litho in Ödeshög.
